We were happy to have three summer SURE students working on Deep Energy Retrofits this year: Léonie Nguedam, Alice Worden and John Hsu. Their research included determining the best strategies for preserving or reconstructing balconies on multi-unit residential buildings, exploring prefabricated solutions for housing densification and advancing the user interface of our retrofit decision-making tool kit respectively. At the university-wide showcase of all SURE projects, John (pictured fourth from the left) received an award for his work.
