Members of the Reconstruct Initiative at McGill and Carleton Universities were interviewed by Ilka Cassidy and Steve Hessler of Holzraum System at the end of a two-day workshop in March. Their conversations spanned harnessing the power of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) by creating Single Integrated Manufacturing Models (SIMM), developing a comprehensive toolkit to support deep energy retrofit rollout in Quebec, and researching new efficient material assemblies for panelized construction among other topics.
