CADWork Training Module

Date: August 25, 2025
Location: McGill University

Reconstruct's Architectural Solutions team and members of Carleton University's CSALT Lab completed an intensive training session to learn the 3D modelling software CADWork. Experts Bertrand Eyffred and Valentin Adam directed the group over four days, where they strengthened their understanding of parts-based modeling and explored how the software can support light wood framing and panelized construction workflows.

The training covered everything from project setup to detailing wall and panel compositions, learning how to automatically propagate building assemblies and organize production outputs like architectural drawings and 3D files. Ultimately, it gave the team a stronger foundation for using the software in ongoing and future projects in our Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) research stream.
